The Friends of Laurel Hill Cemetery welcome school groups, organizations, special parties or just friends and families who are interested in taking a personalized tour of the Cemetery. We also offer the option of booking one of our knowledgeable guides to lecture at regional sites through our Speakers Series.
In order to make the necessary arrangements for private tours and speakers, the Friends typically request a minimum of six participants per tour, with increasing costs in accordance with attendance number. Special rates are available for student groups. We invite visiting groups to bring snacks and refreshments, or to enjoy a quiet lunch or picnic on the Cemetery grounds before or after their tour. We can also provide private tour groups of 30 people or less the use of the Gatehouse, a refurbished historic building consisting of two adjacent rooms and a kitchen.
The Cemetery’s guides are always willing to tailor a tour to meet the specific interests of a group. If there is a particular subject that you would like your program to focus on, we would be happy to accommodate your requests in our ongoing effort to make your day at Laurel Hill the best experience possible.
Please note that our tours are all-weather events and operate rain or shine. Wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Reservations for private tours must be made at least two weeks in advance.
