Volunteer

Volunteer

The Friends of Laurel Hill Cemetery is always looking for dedicated and motivated volunteers of all ages and backgrounds who can donate a few hours of their time on a weekly or monthly basis to assist with the organization’s educational and operational development. Laurel Hill is especially interested in individuals with past experience working as tour guides or researchers, and who would be willing to aid the Cemetery in this same capacity.

Why volunteer at Laurel Hill?

  • It is a great way to become involved with one of Philadelphia’s most unique sites.
  • It is an excellent opportunity to work in a beautiful historic setting.
  • You are certain to learn interesting stories and facts about our city’s past.
  • You will meet new people, including staff, peers and visitors.
  • You will have the chance to make a difference for an important historic landmark.
  • You will gather a lifetime of interesting dinner conversation.

Involvement in organizations such as the Friends of Laurel Hill Cemetery is the type of participation that has historically helped to build our nation, proving that America is at heart a land of dedicated and concerned citizens. The rewards of civic engagement are not just beneficial for the individual—linked to happier and healthier lives—but are ultimately witnessed in better schools, safer communities, more productive economies and more responsive governments. We welcome your interest.
