Leave your mark at Laurel Hill Cemetery, while ensuring that the memory of your loved ones will be a part of our lasting history. The restored red brick pathway, just west of the Old Mortality sculptural group at Laurel Hill’s Gatehouse entrance, leads visitors into the most historic section of the Cemetery. The Medallion Gardens, called the Shrubbery by Laurel Hill’s founders, houses the final resting place of our first burial in 1836.
The Friends of Laurel Hill Cemetery offers individuals a meaningful way to honor those both living and deceased through our “Brand a Brick” Program, in which any member of the public can sponsor one or more preferred bricks along the pathway. In turn, sponsors receive the rights to personalize their brick(s) with the names of their parents, children, partners or beloved pets. Bricks can also be customized to include quotes and messages that may bear special meaning to the sponsor.
Each standard 4” x 8” brick can be sponsored at the cost of $125.
Bricks can be purchased ONLINE, or by completing and mailing the attached FORM along with a check made payable to the Friends of Laurel Hill. For questions, please call our office at (215) 228-8200.
Please note that all inscriptions are subject to approval. Laurel Hill Cemetery and the Friends of Laurel Hill reserve the right to deny any text not in accordance with our primary mission of maintaining Laurel Hill as, first and foremost, a dignified place of rest.
