Laurel Hill’s archival records consist of minute books, legal documents, administrative records, accounting and financial records, photographs, ephemera, prints, and other documents related to the cemetery. In addition, there is a large collection of burial cards with corresponding lot books and interment records that document the sale of lots and burials at the cemetery from 1836 to the present. A survey of the collection was conducted in 2015 by The Historical Society of Pennsylvania, which resulted in an updated summary finding aid. Download a copy of the finding aid.
The collection is accessible by appointment only. Additional fees may apply. Laurel Hill reserves the right to restrict access to any sensitive business or personal materials. To schedule a research appointment, call 215-228-8200.
