Whether you’re a beginner genealogist or have devoted years to researching your family’s past, this fascinating program is sure to inspire anyone who has an interest in drawing connections between those who came before us. Learn how tour guide Peter Howell unearthed four generations and over one hundred of his extended family ancestors at Laurel Hill. From interment records and various online resources, to clues on monuments, this seated presentation and walking tour will not only shed light on a particular 19th century Philadelphia family, but provide a basic understanding of how to dig into one’s own family history. As Bill Doran likes to say, we’re all related.
The tour will take place on Sunday, October 6 at 10:00 am. Free parking is located in the lot across the street from the Gatehouse at 3822 Ridge Avenue. Free for Members.
