Rededication Ceremony: Old First German Reformed Church of Philadelphia Monument Project

Ceremony on Wednesday, November 3, 11 - 12 PM at West Laurel Hill Cemetery

The headstones of the Old First German Reformed Church lot at West Laurel Hill Cemetery have been raised and reset with funding received from the Independence Hall Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. Purchased in 1877, this lot contains burials from the original church burying ground formerly located in Franklin Square. Included in this group are Revolutionary War soldiers and other 18th century Philadelphians. Along with the resetting of the monuments, we have a dedicated group of volunteers researching the lives of the people buried in this lot.

Join us on November 3rd at West Laurel Hill Cemetery for a rededication ceremony of the monuments and lot.
