Its not that some figures buried in Laurel Hill had money, its what some of them did in the pursuit of wealth and what some of them did after making it. Hear stories of Greed, Deception, Avarice, Generosity, Philanthropy and Altruism that still resonate in today’s world of get rich quick schemes, pay-to-play and GoFundMe. The Industrialist who went bankrupt trying to buy votes, the newspaperman who went above and beyond for his employees, the con-artist who who tried every trick in her book to achieve wealth and status are all included. “Greed Is Good” - or maybe not.
The walking tour will take place on Sunday, November 24 at 10:00AM, departing from Laurel Hill Cemetery’s Gatehouse entrance at 3822 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19132. Free parking is located in the lot across the street from the Gatehouse.
Ticket pricing is $15/General Admission, $13/Seniors (65 & Up), $13/Students with ID, $10/Members, $7.50/Youth (6-12), and $0/Child (5 & Under). Tickets can be purchased at the door or online.
Please note - youth and children must be accompanied by an adult.
