Peruse a curated collection of unusual antiques, assorted oddities, vintage items, artwork and handmade wares at this outdoor market of the macabre. Taking place in the most fitting of venues - a 183-year-old Victorian cemetery - visitors will have the opportunity to explore their morbid curiosity, in addition to Laurel Hill’s scenic grounds and rich history. The afternoon will include food and drinks for purchase from local vendors—don’t forget to bring cash! Victorian and/or Steampunk attire is encouraged.

The event will take place on Saturday, September 7 from 12:00 to 5:00 pm (with a pre-scheduled rain date of Sunday, September 8 from 12:00 to 5:00 pm) at Laurel Hill Cemetery’s Gatehouse entrance at 3822 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19132. Parking is limited so please plan to arrive via ride-share, public transportation or bicycle. The entrance fee is $5 per person. Only cash will be accepted at the door.

Macabre Yoga at the Market!

Join Hillary Harris from Macabre Yoga for a truly spine tingly yoga experience! Macabre Yoga incorporates the paranormal, story-telling, meditation, and a beginner yoga class into every practice. Classes begin with a local ghost story which leads into meditation and yogic breathing techniques, and then a beginner yoga class. Classes are slow and evenly paced, with plenty of modifications offered to benefit either complete beginners or more advanced yoga practitioners. Students will need to bring a yoga mat with them. Props will be provided. Each hour long class is $15 per person.

Times for practice during the Market of the Macabre (Check in will be at Vendor Spot 15):
