Glass, Paint, Photo, Metal and Stone: Artists at Laurel Hill

Sunday, August 4, 2019 at 1:00 PM

Historical Laurel Hill is a wonderful resting place to a myriad of artists that worked across mediums. Many were inspired by the beauty and symmetry of nature like John Cassin, an ornithologist that discovered over 50 bird species and immortalized them in his engravings or Titian Ramsey Peale, who used watercolors to capture the fragile details of butterflies. Enjoy a slideshow of the greatest works of Laurel Hill painters and photographers followed by a walking tour exemplifying artists that transformed metal, stone and glass.

This slideshow and walking tour will take place on Sunday, August 4 at 1:00 pm, starting in Laurel Hill Cemetery’s Gatehouse at 3822 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19132. Free parking is located in the lot across the street from the Gatehouse.

Ticket pricing is $15/General Admission, $13/Seniors (65 & Up), $13/Students with ID, $10/Members, $7.50/Youth (6-12), and $0/Child (5 & Under). Tickets can be purchased at the door or online.
