Peruse a curated collection of unusual antiques, assorted oddities, vintage items, artwork and handmade wares at this outdoor market of the macabre. Taking place in the most fitting of venues - a 181-year-old Victorian cemetery - visitor’s will have the opportunity to explore their morbid curiosity, in addition to Laurel Hill’s scenic grounds and rich history. The afternoon will include self-guided tours of the cemetery, cold drinks by East Falls Beer Garden and savory barbecue from Philly Blind Pig BBQ—don’t forget to bring cash! Victorian and/or Steampunk attire is encouraged.
The event will take place on Saturday, August 26 from 12-5pm at Laurel Hill Cemetery’s Gatehouse entrance at 3822 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19132. Free parking is located in the lot across the street from the Gatehouse. The pre-scheduled rain date is Sunday, August 27 from 12-5pm.
There is a suggested $5 donation in support of historic Laurel Hill. Donations can be made at the door or online at www.thelaurelhillcemetery.org.
