Classy Broads and Daring Dames of South Laurel Hill

Sunday, March 31, 2019 at 1:00 PM

Laurel Hill Cemetery marks Women’s History Month with a program honoring some of their most accomplished broads and dames. The South section boasts stunning views, and the final resting places of notable artists (including a woman who studied with Rodin), pioneers in education and social justice, and one of our nation’s first Gold Star mothers. Join us as we unearth their stories, along with those of other women whose contributions to science and other disciplines have made life as we know it possible. This inspirational walking tour will conclude with a toast to classy broads and daring dames of past… and present.

The walking tour will take place on Sunday, March 31 at 1:00pm, departing from Laurel Hill Cemetery’s Gatehouse entrance at 3822 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19132. Free parking is located in the lot across the street from the Gatehouse. The cost is $15/person; $13/students and seniors; or $12/members. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online.
