Cinema in the Cemetery: The Philadelphia Story

At West Laurel Hill on Friday, May 8, 2020 at 8:30 pm

Pack a picnic, gather some friends or a date, and enjoy an evening under the stars. As the sun sets over West Laurel Hill’s historic tombs, the grainy joys of the film experience will be brought to life during the cemetery’s annual movie series. May’s feature film, The Philadelphia Story, will be presented in conjunction with the Philadelphia Film Society.

Hollywood legends Katherine Hepburn, Cary Grant, and Jimmy Stewart light up this classic romantic comedy about a socialite torn between three suitors.

The movie will take place on Friday, May 8, 2020 at 8:30 pm at West Laurel Hill Cemetery at 225 Belmont Avenue, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004. (GPS address is 321 Belmont Avenue.) A What to Expect email will be sent to ticket holders before the event date with more information about getting here, parking, and weather.

The inclement weather date is Friday, May 15, 2020 at 8:30 pm. If inclement weather arises and the movie needs to be rescheduled to the rain date, ticket holders will be notified by 1 pm on the day of the movie.

Ticket pricing is $15/General Admission, $13/Seniors (65 & Up), $13/Students with ID, $10/Members, $7.50/Youth (6-12), and $0/Child (5 & Under). Tickets can be purchased at the door or online. Purchasing advance tickets is suggested.
